Handmade Chainmail Bracelets

Each piece is made of hundreds or thousands of metal rings. Some of these rings we purchase (especially anodized rings) while others we hand-saw from coils of wire. The rings are then woven together one by one two create a chain or a wider sheet.

Gracie Layne Gifts' handmade chainmail bracelets are made of several kinds of metals:

  • Aluminum: Our most common metal because it is lightweight, shiny silver, and is available in a number of vibrant anodized colors.
  • Copper has a heavier feel and natural color ranging from shiny penny when new to old bronze. It can be color-coated as well.
  • Silver, both fine (99.9% silver) and sterling (92.5%silver).
  • Stainless steel, occasionally, because it's very hard but also shiny and silver with a nice dark undertone.
